Pleasant surprize....

I got a pleasant surprize this weekend! My buddy gave me a new washing machine and it even works!!! (The last one he brought didn't.) Been waiting about a year for him to keep his word. The reason I am so shocked, is that he is so much like my father I didn't expect him to ever remember about his promise to replace my washer. I knew this guy about 10 years before I realized how much his behavior is like my father's. Another 6 years later and I still love the guy, in spite of my efforts not to. I guess its because he's a safe bet. Emotionally unavailable, or maybe just not in the same place I am at. I've tried to get him out of my system for most of the 16 years I've known him. He can still take my breath away, and make me giddy like a school girl.
